Job summary

Vertu FM in Essex is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to join our expanding security team. The role covers Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder and Access maintenance across Essex and surrounding regions.

You will work in a mobile role with a strong attitude and ambition, delivering high‑quality service. The package includes a company car or van, 33 days of annual leave, a pension, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in the fire and security industry.
• Ability to work in a mobile role across regions.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder and Access systems.
• Deliver maintenance works on site in line with SLA and timescales.
• Liaise with Service Team to ensure timely delivery of works.
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with HSE regulations.
• Attend corrective calls on standby rota and resolve issues encountered during service delivery.
• Keep company vehicle clean, maintained and serviced as required.
