Job summary

Dennis Eagle is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the West London area from the Croydon Service Centre. The role is mobile, servicing, repairing and maintaining specialist vehicles at customer sites and company workshops across the UK.

You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and prepare vehicles for MOT inspections, ensuring DOT compliance and peak performance. Ideal candidates have NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance required.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment.
• Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with DoT specs.
• Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Log all work using PDA software and maintain service records.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK, sometimes on short notice.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service.
• Support health and safety practices and complete risk assessments as required.
