Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting is seeking several field-based engineers to service agricultural machinery across Essex and surrounding areas. The role offers a competitive salary with overtime opportunities and a range of benefits.

You will service a variety of equipment, travel to client sites, and report to the Service Manager on job progress. A background in agriculture is preferred but not mandatory, with training available to upskill as needed.

Qualifications

• Preference for agricultural background but not essential; strong experience accepted from related sectors.
• Excellent communication skills are expected and training is available.
• Willing to work overtime during peak periods.
• Must be based in Essex or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Service the full range of agricultural machinery including tractors, combines, and harvesters.
• Use a laptop as well as hands-on work on-site with clients.
• Develop knowledge of equipment within a technically developing fleet.
• Report to the Service Manager to ensure servicing is carried out efficiently.
• Represent the company in a professional manner during client visits.
