Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in Chichester is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to execute preventive and corrective tasks in a safe, efficient manner across six mental health units in the area.

You will troubleshoot issues under site management, complete relevant documentation, and liaise with contractors during planned service work, while participating in ongoing training and risk assessments to ensure compliance and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Carpentry, Plumbing, Decoration, or another suitable trade.
• Good understanding of the works involved in the facilities management industry.
• Excellent understanding of preventive maintenance.
• Experience working in a team liaising with a scheduler.
• Full clean driving licence required.
• Live within 30 mins of Chichester for callouts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance per client requirements safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot problems as directed by site management.
• Complete site documentation before and after work tasks.
• Liaise with contractors during planned service maintenance.
• Carry out risk assessments of maintenance tasks and keep them valid.
• This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to continue to develop their skills within the facilities management sector and is committed to delivering an outstanding service. Working across 6 mental health units in the Chichester area.
