Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Multi Skilled Technician to provide mobile facilities maintenance across Network Rail sites in the Manchester area. Typical hours are 08:00 - 17:00 with flexibility required.

You will carry out planned maintenance tasks (fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing, water hygiene checks, meter readings) and respond to reactive requests, documenting work and maintaining RAMS and permits.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, handyperson, facilities or janitorial duties.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment.
• Knowledge of statutory building compliance and safe systems of work.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to accurately record work using worksheets and computer-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance tasks including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing, water hygiene checks and meter readings.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete minor fabric, plumbing and decorating repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, RAMS and permit documentation.
• Support other engineering trades and undertake additional training where required.
• Deliver excellent customer service whilst ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
