Job summary

Alaska Black in the UK is seeking a capable electrical and mechanical technician to organise and deliver PPM tasks on commercial sites. You will plan and execute preventive maintenance, emergency light testing, fire alarm tests, and water temperature checks as per the published planner.

The role spans the M4 Corridor to the South West and towards Birmingham, with a 40-hour week, a 1 in 8 call rota and overtime rates.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial FM or building maintenance.
• UK driving licence holder and eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver electrical and mechanical PPM per planner.
• Cover area between the M4 Corridor, South West and towards Birmingham.
• Maintain PPM compliance and meet required certifications/frequencies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Maintain Health & Safety knowledge to ensure safe delivery of work.

About the Company

A UK based FM company who deliver 24/7/365 maintenance throughout the UK supported by our regional office network. We deliver engineering excellence across a wide range of buildings – from hospitality venues, grocers, health care, educational establishments, Government buildings and commercial properties.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Organise and deliver electrical and mechanical PPM, in-line with an agreed planner – emergency light testing, fire alarm tests, water temperature checks, filter changes.
• The area you will be covering will be between the M4 Corridor , South West and towards Birmingham
• Ensure PPM compliance is maintained, and all certification and frequencies are met in-line with the planner.
• Deliver great customer service and maintain an excellent working relationship with the clients.
• Hold a good knowledge of Health & Safety to ensure safe delivery of work.

What We’re Looking For

• A solid all-rounder with experience in commercial FM or building maintenance
• UK driving licence holder & eligible to work in the UK

Salary

Up to £35k depending on experience, 30 minutes travel each way unpaid, but then any travel after that is paid, private use of van, 21 Days holiday plus Bank holidays, 3%/5% pension.

Call out rota is 1 in 8 - Standby allowance is £150
40 hour week
