Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer with multi-trade skills including mechanical, electrical, plumbing or building services. The role requires diagnosing faults, working independently and the ability to manage cross-trade tasks across Trust sites.

Applicants should have City & Guilds/HNC/apprenticeship/NVQ or equivalent training, extensive post-apprenticeship experience and a full UK driving licence for travel between Berkshire sites.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds, HNC, apprenticeship, NVQ equivalent or other approved equivalent training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or building engineering, with skills across multiple trades.
• Significant post-apprenticeship work experience with fault diagnosis and initiative.
• Knowledge of plant and machinery across a wide range of services.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of contractors and participate in on-call rota.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients.
• Drive between Trust sites across Berkshire using a full UK driving licence.
