Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Mobile Multi-skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join the Salisbury site. The role involves 40 hours per week delivering reactive and proactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical disciplines.

You will perform planned maintenance, fault finding, and installations, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability of plant and equipment in a busy facilities environment. A strong emphasis on HSE and quality workmanship is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-disciplinary maintenance including electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).

Responsibilities

• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering reactive and proactive maintenance.
• Carry out modifications, installations, and calibrations to optimise reliability and maintainability.
• 90% planned and reactive maintenance; 10% fault finding and installation work.
• Carry out routine inspections, lighting replacements and building maintenance to high standards.

Job description

ROLE: Mobile Multi-skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias
HOURS: 40Hrs
LOCATION: Salisbury

Role Responsibilities

• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering both electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering reactive and proactive maintenance in line with site requirements.
• Carry out modifications and installations when required, and maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
• The role involves 90% planned and reactive maintenance work, including PPMs and general building maintenance, with 10% focused on fault finding and installation activities.
• Experienced in carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), general building maintenance, lighting replacements, basic electrical works, temperature checks, plumbing repairs, and routine inspections of doors and floors
• Carry out all work to a high standard in line with current company policies and procedures, reporting any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety or the environment, ensuring all work is completed in a safe and diligent manner.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• 17th or 18th Edition and NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent, with appropriate up-to-date training.
• Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance and responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
