Job summary

Facilities by ADF plc is seeking an experienced Mobile Electrician to join our workshop team and maintain and repair our fleet of executive trailers across the UK.

Based in Longcross, Surrey, you will design electrical systems for new-build vehicles, perform annual NICEIC testing, and provide on-call support to site crews. A full driving licence, 18th Edition, NICEIC certification, and strong health and safety knowledge are essential; we offer overtime, generous holiday and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Design and install electrical systems for new-build vehicles.
• Plan, manage and complete annual NICEIC electrical testing across the fleet.
• Test portable electrical distribution equipment and provide on-call support when required.
• Provide fault-finding guidance to on-site base crews via telephone.
• Undertake On Call rotation.

About Us

Facilities by ADF plc provides serviced vehicle hire to television and film productions across the UK and Europe, specialising in on-location support for dramas and major feature films. The group also includes Location One, which provides integrated end-to-end shoot support, and Autotrak Portable Roadways, which supplies temporary access equipment. This role will work across all three companies to support a consistent, aligned approach.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Mobile Electrician to join our workshop team and carry out general electrical maintenance and repairs across our fleet of executive trailers.

Mobile Electrician - Key Responsibilities

• Design and install electrical systems for new-build vehicles
• Plan, manage and complete annual NICEIC electrical testing across the fleet
• Manage and test portable electrical distribution equipment, with occasional call-out support when required
• Provide on-call telephone-based fault-finding guidance to on-site base crews
• Undertake On Call rotation.

Mobile Electrician - About You

Essential

• 18th Edition qualification and Inspection & Testing certification
• NICEIC registration
• Assist with Annual NICEIC Audit Process
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations
• Full driving licence
• Strong communication skills

Desirable

• Knowledge of BS 7909 or experience installing temporary power systems at Events
• Experience completing installations in temporary portable accommodation
