Job summary

Total Facilities Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician for sites across Kent, including Maidstone and Dartford. The role covers inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and improvements of electrical systems to keep plant safe, reliable, and compliant with standards. Rate is £25 per hour.

Vehicles can be provided, or you may use your own car with fuel reimbursement. The job requires Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent, 18th Edition, and a Standard DBS Check;

Qualifications

• Qualified Electricians with relevant wiring and installation experience.
• Certification: Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Familiar with 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Experience or certification: 2391 electrical inspection and testing.
• DBS check completed (Standard DBS Check).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Inspect electrical installations, control panels, motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and distribution systems.
• Install, test, commission, and modify electrical equipment and systems as required.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, and automation equipment where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, engineering standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, work orders, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with operations, production, and external contractors during maintenance activities.
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of electrical tools, testing equipment, and spare parts.
• Participate in emergency breakdown response and support continuous improvement initiatives.
