Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions seeks a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer for electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant, equipment and building services. You will apply fault-finding skills and problem-solving across heavy machinery, motors, drives, hydraulics and pneumatics in a dynamic facilities environment.

Ideal candidates have formal electrical/mechanical training or an apprenticeship, strong maintenance background, and experience with PLC systems.

Qualifications

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical competences to City and Guilds 236 Part 1-2, 18th Edition.
• Mechanical competences to City and Guilds mechanical standards.
• Experience with 3‑phase motors, drives and inverters.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks on site, update drawings and spares lists.
• Fault-find on electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Provide electrical/mechanical expertise to maintenance dept.
• Write risk assessments and method statements.
• Use mobile devices to project and complete works via CAFM.
• Liaise with onsite service providers to manage issues.
• Deputise for shift leader during leave or sickness.
• Work overtime including nights and weekends.
