Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to support our Waltham Forest PFI Schools team, with the main office in Chingford and a mobile role across seven borough schools. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role covers Lewisham PFI Schools and requires an enhanced DBS check.

The engineer will maintain electrical and mechanical systems, perform PAT testing, and ensure health and safety compliance across sites. Driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualifications and 18th Edition.
• Experience delivering electrical and mechanical maintenance in FM or multi-site environments.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain Enhanced DBS.
• PASMA/IPAF and Authorised Person LV experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, diagnosing faults and resolving efficiently.
• Carry out PAT testing, water hygiene tasks, and ensure compliance with statutory, health & safety, and school standards.
• Provide facilities support including minor carpentry, decorating, event setup, and maintaining tools and stock.
• Use and troubleshoot BMS systems, contribute to upgrades, and support asset management programmes.
• Liaise with staff and contractors, mentor junior technicians, and participate in continuous improvement.
