Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited in Bristol is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our nationwide building services maintenance team. You will deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a varied client portfolio, ensuring safe, efficient operation of equipment while meeting high service standards.

We provide a company van, mobile phone, uniform and ongoing training; you’ll work a 42.5-hour week with occasional out-of-hours calls, and have opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Relevant Electrical Installation qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence.
• 18th Edition.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to our clients, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in line with contractual requirements.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to reactive maintenance and equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, arranging equipment replacements where required to minimise downtime.
• Complete quality inspections and ensure all work meets recognised industry standards and best practices.
• Effectively manage and maintain records through our Elogbooks facilities management system.
• Work closely with the Lead Engineer and Support Desk Supervisor to coordinate maintenance schedules, priorities, and reporting requirements.
• Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call‑out rota as required.
• Undertake a variety of hands‑on and physically demanding tasks across client sites.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, health & safety legislation, and relevant industry regulations.
• Take ownership of your professional development by participating in training and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and qualifications.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, representing the business professionally at all times.
• Support the wider team by undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role when required.
