Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver high standards of service, complete electrical safety checks, and perform planned maintenance across client sites in Guildford, Reading, and Slough. The role requires a Level 2/3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, plus 17th/18th Edition regs and a full UK driving licence.

You will work within a facilities maintenance environment, use IT systems for records, and support safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 2/3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• IT literate with strong customer service skills.
• Experience in facilities or mobile maintenance (construction sector preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical safety checks, PAT testing, and reactive repairs
• Deliver planned maintenance across client sites
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and statutory building regulations
• Maintain accurate records using IT systems
• Support preventative maintenance programmes through inspections and monitoring
