Job summary

Acorn Limited is seeking a knowledgeable Mobile Electrical Engineer to cover client sites across London and surrounding urban areas. This role involves electrical installation, testing, and maintenance within commercial settings. Applicants must live within one hour of Central London during peak traffic conditions.

The position offers a salary of up to £44,000, depending on experience, plus benefits such as a company van and 25 days holiday. Ideal candidates will possess relevant qualifications and experience in commercial electrical installations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.
• Experience testing and certifying electrical systems.
• Ability to fault-find and rectify electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation works within commercial premises.
• Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
• Conduct periodic emergency lighting inspections and testing.

Skills

Knowledge of commercial electrical installations

Testing and certifying electrical systems

Fault-finding and rectifying electrical issues

Experience with emergency lighting and fire alarm systems

Knowledge of DALI lighting control systems

BMS control wiring and fault finding

Education

City & Guilds 2391 or 2394 & 2395 (or equivalent)

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Completed electrical apprenticeship

IPAF and PASMA (desirable)
