Job summary

Acorn Limited is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to install, test and maintain electrical systems across client sites in London and surrounding areas. The role covers commercial environments with a focus on timely response and high safety standards.

You will perform EICRs, lighting tests, fault finding and certification while meeting NIC/EIC requirements and coordinating with clients and internal teams. A valid driving licence and UK residency are required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.
• Experience testing and certifying electrical systems.
• Ability to fault-find and rectify electrical issues.
• Experience with emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of DALI lighting control systems.
• Experience with BMS control wiring and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation works within commercial premises.
• Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
• Carry out periodic emergency lighting inspections and testing.
• Fault diagnosis and rectification on electrical systems.
• Testing and certification of electrical installations and minor works in line with BS7671.
• Work in accordance with NIC/EIC approved contractor requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Maintain site logs, diaries, task sheets and photographic reports.
• Organise daily workload efficiently and work proactively.
