Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Mobile Engineer (Electrical) to join the FM team in the North region, covering contracts within The Northwest. You will be responsible for building maintenance across multiple sites and providing on-site electrical support on a 40-hour week.

Ideal candidates have electrical qualifications (2391, City & Guilds II/III, 18th Edition), strong fault-finding skills, and a proactive, safety-first mindset. Company van and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of electrical/mechanical maintenance, testing & fault finding on equipment including ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, distribution boards, plumbing, small power and lighting.
• Experience of working within a mobile service delivery contract; awareness of SLAs, KPIs and safety requirements.
• Strong customer care focus with good communication skills and a proactive approach; ability to complete essential paperwork promptly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
• Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
• Be on a call out rota to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
• Assist other team members as directed by the Contracts Manager.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time scales and proactively reduce energy on site.
• Oversee visiting subcontractors regarding health and safety and quality of work.
• Adopt a flexible attitude to assist on other properties within the portfolio.

Working 40 Hours per week. Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will be expected to take full responsibility for the building maintenance across several sites in and around the area. Ideally looking for someone with electrical qualification 2391, Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III, 18th Edition or equivalent, electrically bias preferred.
• Experience of electrical/mechanical maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment including ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, Distribution boards, plumbing, small power and lighting (where applicable).
• Experience of working within a mobile service delivery contract. An understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA's), service targets and objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices. Strong customer care focus. Good communication skills. Proactive approach. Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults. Capable of completing essential paper work in a timely manner.
