Job summary

Bright Horizons Farnham Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Field Chef to travel across our nurseries in Farnham and surrounding areas. You will prepare and present nutritious meals for children, tailored to dietary needs, while keeping detailed kitchen records and maintaining a sanitary work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a commercial catering role is required.
• Passion for nutrition and promoting healthy eating.
• Ability to manage various dietary requirements, including allergies.
• Food Safety level 2 or higher (to be obtained on day 1).
• Knowledge of COSHH is expected.
• Excellent communication with colleagues, children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Travel to nurseries within the Farnham region to provide cover for the permanent chef.
• Prepare, cook and present age-appropriate meals with minimal waste.
• Ensure dietary requirements are communicated to nursery teams.
• Maintain accurate kitchen records and a clean, safe work environment.
• Support nursery management with food ordering.
