Job summary

Blade Recruitment is seeking an experienced Domestic Plumbing Engineer for a permanent role covering London and the M25. The position is a reactive maintenance role requiring travel between jobs and occasional work in commercial buildings, with all gas work conducted on domestic appliances.

You will perform leak detection, fit-out tasks in bathrooms, service hot water cylinders, and install or repair taps, toilets, radiators, and pipework across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance plumbing and reactive duties.
• Ability to travel between sites across London and the M25.
• Experience with domestic gas work on appliances.

Responsibilities

• Carry out leak detection and tracing on domestic plumbing systems.
• Install and service concealed cisterns, wall-hung toilets and taps.
• Install and maintain showers, pipes and bathroom fittings.
• Work on unvented/vented hot water systems and cylinders.
• Fit radiators, valves and heating pipework in domestic properties.
• Check stopcocks, valves and pipe connections; ensure safety and compliance.
• Connect appliances like washing machines and dishwashers to water supply.

This is a reactive maintenance role that requires travel between jobs throughout London and the M25. Some work may be performed in commercial buildings such as offices, shops, and schools, but all gas work is done on domestic appliances..

JOB DUTIES

Your work may include:

• Maintenance plumber will be responsible for Leak detection and tracing, including trace and access.
• Concealed cisterns, wall-hung, back-to-wall and freestanding toilets
• Concealed taps, thermostatic shower valves and mixer showers
• Taps, toilets, basins, baths and full bathroom fit-outs
• Vented and unvented hot water cylinders
• Shower pumps, booster pumps and macerators
• Radiators, valves and heating pipework
• Stopcocks, isolation valves, fill valves and ball valves
• Copper and plastic pipework, wastes and traps
• Washing machine, dishwasher and outside tap connections
