Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking a Mobile Dispensing Optician to cover multiple stores within a defined area, delivering essential clinical dispensing support. You will work closely with a Mobile Optometrist to ensure a seamless chair-to-dispense journey for patients across locations, while maintaining high clinical standards and patient care.

You will lead, train and mentor colleagues, support the Boots healthcare teams, and engage patients with digital tools to enhance the dispensing experience.

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Optical experience and expertise.
• Able to build relationships with store teams, leaders and patients.
• Maintain high clinical standards.
• Willing to complete CET education as required by GOC.
• Willing and able to travel to different stores in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver exceptional care, helping patients choose optical and healthcare products.
• Work flexibly across the opticians area to support business needs.
• Provide expert knowledge for patients with specialist requirements.
• Deliver healthcare solutions and coach team members.
• Collaborate with Boots Healthcare teams for a one-health solution.
• Supervise development and training of colleagues and students.
• Follow Boots Opticians policies and procedures.
• Support efficient operation and legal, safe dispensing.
• Participate in store leadership meetings to uphold clinical standards.
• Engage customers with digital tools when appropriate.
