Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire in Brentwood is seeking an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to operate cranes safely for our customers, delivering first-class service from our Brentwood depot.

You will setup outriggers, monitor wind conditions, perform pre-use checks and work with site managers to ensure safety and efficiency on every lift. A professional, customer-focused approach is essential, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualifications to operate cranes safely and professionally.
• Ability to perform pre-use and operational checks and setup outriggers correctly.
• Knowledge of wind effects on cranes and loads, and safe operation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and professionally for customers.
• Set up outriggers and check capacity indicators as required.
• Carry out pre-use checks and follow site requirements and procedures.
• Engage with Site Managers and Project Managers on arrival and on site.
• Read crane duty charts and relevant documentation and maintain safety standards.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date for the crane.
• Represent Ainscough professionally and deliver friendly service to customers.
• Continuously look for ways to improve work practices and safety.
