Job Purpose/Objectives of a Mobile Crane Operator

Provide high-quality lifting services to customers, prioritizing safety for employees, customers, and the public.

Key Responsibilities of a Mobile Crane Operator

• Operate cranes according to manufacturer’s instructions at all times.
• Comply with road traffic regulations.
• Wear PPE appropriately at all times.
• Use outriggers correctly, ensuring they are on level ground.
• Set and check the rated capacity limiter and indicator.
• Perform manual handling tasks correctly, e.g., Outrigger Pans.
• Coordinate with Site/Project Managers upon arrival.
• Resist unsafe pressures from others.
• Understand and apply information from reports and duty charts.
• Be aware of climatic effects like wind on crane operation.
• Take action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations if necessary.
• Access and exit the crane safely using ladders and grab rails.
• Undergo training on specific crane models, rigging, and maintenance procedures.
• Continuously seek improvements in role performance.

• HGV Class C License
