Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire is seeking a skilled Crane Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of mobile cranes across the UK, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

We welcome engineers from agricultural, heavy plant, or construction backgrounds and offer training to become an expert Crane Mechanic within one of the country's largest crane fleets. Competitive earnings and progression opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and hydraulic engineering skills.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
• A commitment to working safely and delivering high-quality workmanship.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and repairing mobile cranes and associated equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate service records and inspection documentation.
• Working closely with operational teams to plan maintenance activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and engineering performance.
