Hertfordshire Catering Ltd (HCL) is seeking a Mobile Cook Manager to lead school kitchen teams across multiple sites. You will travel to primary and secondary schools, manage day-to-day operations, and deliver nutritious meals that meet standards.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and food-safety knowledge, with safeguarding at the core of daily duties. A hands-on manager who motivates staff in a dynamic environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Prepare, and deliver fresh, nutritious meals.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and budget management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Build positive relationships with staff, students, and the wider school community.
• Maintain accurate records (e.g. HACCP, temperature checks, audits).
• Inspire and develop your team, creating an environment where people grow and thrive.
