Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd is seeking two Mobile Specialist Cleaners to support a major UK retail portfolio across the East Midlands and surrounding areas. The roles are based in Northampton with a 90‑minute radius.

You'll be provided with a company van, fuel card and mobile phone. The role involves high- and low-level cleaning, external cleaning including window cleaning and pressure washing, with planned tasks completed to spec and timescales. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial window cleaning, high-level/external cleaning, and pressure washing.
• Experience using pressure washing/jet washing equipment.
• Comfortable working at height.
• IPAF 3a/3b licence desirable (training available).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• IT literate and comfortable using mobile/PDA technology.
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused.
• Flexible to travel within a 90-minute regional territory.
• Occasional overnight stays when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high and low-level cleaning across retail, commercial and industrial sites.
• Specialist external cleaning including window cleaning and pressure washing.
• Complete planned cleaning tasks to agreed specifications and timescales.
• Respond to reactive cleaning requirements.
• Work safely at height using the appropriate equipment.
• Carry out basic maintenance of cleaning equipment, including changing O-rings.
• Use company PDA/mobile apps to complete job reports and documentation.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and store teams.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures and company standards.
