About the Role

Our friendly Estates and Facilities Team in Dartford is seeking a Mobile Cleaner. Apply now and start your career in the NHS.

We are looking for a Cleaner with determination and valuable skills to ensure hygiene standards are met in line with NHS Cleaning Guidelines.

This is a multi-site role requiring travel between sites, possibly attending more than one site in a day.

The ideal candidate must hold a full, valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle, unless disabled as per the Equality Act 2010.

Additional Payment

Due to the location in Dartford, Gravesham, or Swanley, the successful candidate will receive a High Cost Area Allowance, which is 5% of the basic salary, with a minimum of £1,258 and a maximum of £2,121 annually, paid monthly.

Working Hours

This full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week, no more than 7.5 hours daily, on a four-week rotation from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends.

Responsibilities

1. Complete daily shift plans ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards.
2. Monitor departmental performance weekly to maintain standards.
3. Provide patient-focused service across clinical areas.
4. Perform general cleaning and domestic tasks to high standards.
5. Assist with Hotel Services related tasks.
6. Collaborate with ward managers on cleaning and hygiene matters.
7. Dispose of waste according to Trust policies, adhering to Health and Safety standards.
8. Remove rubbish to designated collection points.
