You’ll work closely with school teams and Sodexo colleagues to support daily operations, provide leadership, share best practice, and help ensure each site runs smoothly.

This is a mobile role, so flexibility is important. While the usual working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm, there may be occasions where start and finish times need to adjust to meet operational requirements.

  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation and customer service.
  • Monitor food safety, health & safety and allergen management standards.

  • Provide operational support during periods of change, absence or increased demand.
  • Build positive relationships with school staff, pupils and Sodexo teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo policies and client requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience managing or supervising catering operations, ideally within education, contract catering or a high-volume food service environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across different locations.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to complete).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required.
What We Offer

  • A varied role supporting multiple school locations.
  • Full training and uniform provided.
  • Learning and development opportunities to support your career growth.
  • Unlimited access to mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Employee Assistance Programme for legal, financial and personal guidance.
  • 24/7 access to a virtual GP service.
