Job summary

Corrigenda Group Limited in Aldershot is seeking a qualified Carpenter to deliver carpentry, joinery and property maintenance across Hampshire Council properties.

You will perform first and second fix carpentry, ensure fire door compliance, and work on reactive and planned maintenance with a mobile team. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to participate in an out-of-hours rota are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• DBS checks for work in schools required.
• CSCS card desirable.

Responsibilities

• First and Second Fix carpentry tasks (doors, frames, skirting, architraves, kitchen units).
• Fire door inspection, installation and remedial work to meet regulations.
• Diagnose and repair timber defects, flooring, roofing timbers, window frames, ironmongery.
• Undertake basic secondary trades when needed (plaster patching, tiling, easing ironmongery).
• Operate mobile workshop/van to attend multiple sites daily.
• Interact professionally with council staff, school personnel and the public; minimise disruption.
• Log work orders and upload before/after photos using a device.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, COSHH and local controls; maintain safe working environments.
• Participate in on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies.
