Vertas is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team in South Derbyshire. The role is 18.5 hours per week, with shifts from 07:00–10:00 and 15:00–19:00, Monday to Friday. You will help maintain facilities, perform cleaning, and support daily operations.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, a team mindset, and reliable communication. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments apply in line with our policy.

Salary: GBP13.21 - GBP13.21 per hour

About the Role:

Based in South Derbyshire, you will be working 18.5 hours a week across the week (Monday – Friday), between the hours of 07:00AM-10:00AM, and 15:00-19:00. You’ll play a key role in providing high-quality caretaking services to oversee maintenance and cleanliness.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Unlocking & locking the facilities (Key Holder)
• Maintenance work
• Cleaning

Who are we looking for?

• Great customer service and communication skills and experience in similar setting (Caretaking, Maintenance, Trades, Handy-person, etc)
• Experience in Legionella and Fire Alarm systems is desirable, but not essential.
• A Team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group.
• The ability to make the best decisions with Vertas in mind.
• Listening and responding to colleagues, customers and suppliers to achieve the best outcome.
• The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation.
