Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is hiring a Mobile Care Assistant in Bedford and surrounding areas. The role involves a blend of Personal Care and Domestic Services with travel between developments, using your own car (mileage reimbursed). The position offers an hourly rate of £14.50 plus extras for evenings and weekends.

Applicants should have a valid UK driving license and be prepared for a rota including early mornings, lates and some weekends. Probation bonus of £300 is available on completion.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Experience in a care environment is preferred but full training is provided.
• Domestic or housekeeping experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care including help with daily activities, personal hygiene and medication assistance.
• Maintain communal areas to a high standard and assist with domestic tasks.
• Support homeowners with social activities, transport and appointments to enhance wellbeing.
