SII Group UK is seeking a MOBILE AUTOMATION SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER to join our engineering team, delivering robust automation frameworks for iOS and Android apps. You will design, build, and maintain Python-based mobile automation solutions spanning devices, emulators, and cloud testing platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams, scalable architectures, and integration with CI/CD pipelines, Appium knowledge, and best practices in automation testing and quality

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent commercial experience.
• Commercial experience in software development using Python.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining mobile automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Appium automation frameworks.
• Experience automating native, hybrid, or mobile web applications across iOS and Android.
• Experience working with mobile device emulators, simulators, and physical testing devices.
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks suitable for enterprise-level testing environments.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted mobile testing platforms such as AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar services.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Demonstrable experience delivering production-quality software and automation solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation frameworks using Python.
• Build and enhance automation solutions for both iOS and Android applications.
• Develop test automation capable of running across physical devices, emulators, and simulators.
• Create and maintain Appium-based automation frameworks and reusable test libraries.
• Integrate mobile automation solutions with cloud-based device testing platforms and CI pipelines.
• Develop scalable automation architecture supporting parallel execution and broad device coverage.
• Design and build APIs, web services, microservices, and SDKs to support automation and testing requirements.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including code reusability, design patterns, testing, and documentation.
• Work closely with international development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve automation reliability, stability, and performance issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within quality engineering and test automation practices.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
