Gymshark in Solihull is hiring a mobile test automation engineer to build and maintain automated tests for iOS and Android using Java and Appium, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with developers and QE engineers, investigate flaky tests, contribute to reviews, and explore AI-assisted testing to speed up coverage.

This hybrid role requires hands-on experience with mobile automation, Appium, Java, and CI tools, with a passion for quality and scalable test strategies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience automating native mobile apps (iOS/Android).
• Experience building and maintaining mobile automation frameworks with Appium.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Ability to identify flaky tests and improve stability.
• Good communication across engineering, QE, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Add and maintain automated tests for iOS and Android apps using Appium.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for fast releases.
• Collaborate with developers and QE to define test strategy.
• Investigate test failures and improve suite reliability.
• Contribute to code reviews and share best practices.
• Report on test coverage and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Explore AI-assisted tooling to speed up test creation and triage.
