Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established HVAC contractor covering Horsham, West Sussex, Surrey and London. The role offers a basic salary of £40,000-£45,000 plus overtime and a company van, with potential to exceed £50,000 per year.

The candidate should have at least five years' experience and a strong skill set in service, maintenance, fault-finding and installation across DX split and VRF systems.

Qualifications

• F-Gas qualification (essential).
• Minimum of five years' air conditioning engineering experience preferred.
• C&G / NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong experience in air conditioning servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and installation.
• Good electrical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working on a range of commercial and residential air conditioning systems.
• PASMA and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
• Additional HVAC or building services experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs on commercial and residential air conditioning systems.
• Undertake installation work, ensuring systems are installed to the required standards and specifications.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across a variety of manufacturers' equipment.
• Work on DX split systems, VRF systems and other applied air conditioning equipment.
• Deliver high-quality service across a varied portfolio of customers and sites.
• Work independently when required and alongside other engineers on larger installations or projects.
• Travel between customer sites across Surrey, West Sussex and London, with occasional travel further afield when necessary.
• Maintain accurate service records, job sheets and relevant documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers and colleagues.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Attend the company office when required to collect equipment and materials or liaise with the wider team; daily office attendance is not expected.
