Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd., Cambridge, is seeking a Mobile AC Engineer to service and repair commercial HVAC equipment across a varied portfolio. You will perform PPMs, diagnose faults on VRF/VRV, splits, chillers and control units, and ensure F-Gas compliance. A full UK driving licence is essential and Daikin/Mitsubishi/Toshiba training is advantageous.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2079 Category 1 F-Gas Certification is essential.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mobile AC Engineer in a Commercial Building Services or Hard FM environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience on VRF/VRV, Splits, Chillers and Close Control equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Service, maintain and fault find on VRV/VRF Systems, Split & Multi-Split Systems, Water-Cooled Chillers and DX Close Control Units.
• Diagnose refrigeration and AC faults using superheat, sub-cooling and electrical testing methods.
• Ensure full compliance with F-Gas Regulations and company safety procedures.
• Complete refrigerant leak testing, recovery and associated documentation.
• Maintain accurate digital service reports, timesheets and refrigerant records.
• Produce RAMS and Permit to Work procedures.
• Provide technical advice and updates to clients and site management.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, energy efficiency improvements and R32 retrofits.
• Participate in the regional Out of Hours call-out rota.
