Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited is seeking a Compliance Manager in Gloucester with hybrid working (3 days in the office). You will be the primary compliance advisor to the Managing Directors, owning AML, data protection, risk management and regulatory oversight across the group.

You will lead policy development, audits and training, coordinating PI renewals and governance processes while supporting accreditation and ensuring a robust compliance framework for the firm.

Qualifications

• Experience acting as MLRO or equivalent
• Broader compliance/risk management within legal or financial services
• Ability to advise senior stakeholders and own compliance frameworks
• Audits, policy development and training delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with SRA/FCA requirements and maintain policies and controls
• Act as MLRO, oversee AML, risk assessments and suspicious activity reporting
• Manage GDPR, data protection and information governance requirements
• Conduct compliance audits, file reviews and QA checks
• Oversee complaints handling and identify improvements
• Coordinate professional indemnity insurance renewals and risk matters
• Support accreditation and governance requirements
• Deliver practical compliance training and report risks to leadership
