Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking an MLOps Engineer to turn pricing models and data science into reliable production workflows. You’ll collaborate with Pricing, Data Science, Data Engineering and ML Engineering teams to build testable, maintainable pipelines in a regulated environment.

You’ll own defined MLOps components, focusing on Python, SQL, automation and governance, with a hands-on role in productionising models and ensuring traceability and quality across the stack.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills; experience building data or ML workflows.
• Good SQL skills with structured datasets.
• Experience building reliable, reusable pipelines and code.
• Understanding of ML fundamentals, especially supervised learning.
• Experience with Git, code review, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain ML pipelines used in Market Pricing.
• Productionise Python models, notebooks and data workflows.
• Move models from development into repeatable, tested production processes.
• Improve testing, release, monitoring and maintenance of model workflows.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Data Science, Data Engineering and governance stakeholders.
