Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for ML Infrastructure in London. You will lead a team responsible for private cloud compute components that power generative AI inference, collaborating with ML research, hardware, platform, security, and product teams across London, Cupertino, and Seattle.

You will manage delivery against a roadmap, hire and coach engineers, and drive design decisions, while upholding privacy-by-design and secure-by-design principles in a complex system.

Qualifications

• Experience managing software engineers and performance management.
• Strong software engineering background in systems, backend, or platform work.
• Ownership of delivery on an infra/platform team: roadmap and cross-team dependencies.
• Agile mindset with ability to adapt in ambiguity.
• Excellent written communication across geographies and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and retain a high-performing team with onboarding and growth.
• Own delivery for one or more inference-stack areas and define technical direction.
• Set a credible technical roadmap amidst changing priorities.
• Partner with engineering, research, hardware, security, SRE, and product across time zones.
• Maintain rigorous engineering standards: measurement, operation readiness, incident reviews.
