Job summary

Beyond Sports in London is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead to guide engineering teams, shape ML-driven platforms, and deliver scalable real-time sports experiences.

You’ll balance hands-on coding (about 60%) with architectural leadership, mentoring squads, and delivering ML pipelines, deployment, and monitoring to production-ready solutions.

The role collaborates with ML engineers, tech leads, product teams, and creatives to push boundaries of live sports data, 3D graphics, and AI storytelling.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software engineering, technical delivery, or technical leadership.
• Experience deploying ML systems into production, including serving, monitoring, and retraining.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering squads.
• Hands-on experience building and training deep learning models in PyTorch.
• Familiarity with MLOps tooling such as MLflow and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with sequence models or generative models applied to data; strong plus in spatiotemporal or motion/trajectory data.
• Balancing leadership with active development and strong delivery planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering squads delivering complex AI-driven systems.
• Contribute to architecture, Proof of Concepts, and high-complexity technical challenges.
• Shaping scalable ML pipelines and prototyping cloud-hosted inference services.
• Reviewing technical approaches and unblocking delivery, staying hands-on ~60% of time.
• Evolve engineering standards, delivery practices, and technical governance across the business.
