Job summary

Finnebrogue is seeking a Mixing Room Operative to accurately weigh, prepare and issue raw materials for production, while upholding the highest standards of food safety, quality and health and safety. Roles include Meat Inspection / Materials Handling and Spice Room activities with day or night shifts at Downpatrick sites; training is provided to get you up to speed and productive quickly.

Qualifications

• Readiness to work and complete on the job training.
• Good communication skills with competent English (reading and numerical).
• Ability to work as part of a team with self-motivation and initiative.
• Proven high level of manual dexterity and speed.
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role.
• Previous food environment experience and understanding of food hygiene is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, prepare and issue raw materials for production.
• Inspect, trim and prepare raw meat and remove non-conforming material as per standards.
• Transfer ingredient mixes to/from refrigeration for recipe mixes.
• Support spice room operations including weighing and batching according to instructions.
