Responsibilities
- Prepare corporation tax computations and LLP income tax computations, and review those prepared by the accounts/audit team for corporate clients.
- Prepare and review personal tax returns.
- Prepare and review forms P11D.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients.
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Handle HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns.
- Collaborate with Managers and Directors on tax advisory projects for existing clients and prospects (e.g., restructuring, reorganisations, remuneration planning, incorporations, share buy-backs, R&D tax credits, EMI schemes, EIS and SEIS applications).
- Assist Managers and Directors with research into technical areas.
- Train and supervise junior team members.
- Prepare fee proposals for clients.
- Participate in team management activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Preferably CTA Qualified or Part Qualified; candidates with ACA/ACCA/ATT or QBE with extensive tax experience will also be considered.
- Strong literacy and numerical skills.
- Experience in a mixed tax role, with at least 50% practical knowledge in Corporate Tax.
- Proficient in IT – Excel and ideally Iris software.
- Minimum of 3 years of practice experience.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments in tax.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, capable of dealing with diverse audiences.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and workload effectively.
