As a Mixed Tax Manager, you will oversee a diverse client portfolio, providing both corporate and personal tax services. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services while managing a team of junior staff.
Manage a mixed portfolio of clients, including private individuals, family-owned businesses, and corporate entities, providing both corporate tax and personal tax services.
Provide advisory services on corporate tax planning, inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT), trust planning, and business succession planning.
Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the latest tax legislation.
Lead and oversee tax compliance work, including corporate tax returns, self-assessment, and capital gains tax returns for individuals, along with other business-related tax obligations.
Manage a team of junior tax professionals, providing mentoring, reviewing their work, and offering technical support as needed.
Stay informed about tax legislation changes and proactively advise clients with tailored tax strategies.
Handle HMRC correspondence, including inquiries, tax investigations, and dispute resolution.
ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification or equivalent, with strong technical knowledge of both corporate and personal tax.
Experience managing a mixed tax portfolio, with a proven record of delivering both advisory and compliance services.
Strong understanding of tax planning, including corporate structures, IHT, CGT, and trusts.
Previous experience leading a small team or supervising junior staff.
Excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with clients and colleagues.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with tax software such as CCH, IRIS, or similar tools is desirable.
