Job summary

Cornwall Partnership Nhs Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Minor Injuries Practitioner to join our flexible in-house team across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. You will provide frontline care for undifferentiated minor injuries and work with other professionals to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Shifts cover days and weekends; typical shifts range 7.5–12.5 hours. Applicants must have current UK registration (NMC/HCPC) and postgraduate MIU training with substantial post-registration

Qualifications

• Current professional registration - NMC /HCPC.
• Post graduate specialist training to degree level in MIU.
• Substantial post registration practice in MIU, ED/Emergency Care or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with undifferentiated minor injuries and illnesses.
• Perform wound closure and minor joint and fracture reduction.
• Radiological requests within protocols.
• Educate patients and families about injury prevention and post-treatment care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.
