Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust in Newquay is seeking an experienced Minor Injuries Unit Practitioner for our Newquay Hospital MIU. This Band 6 post welcomes practitioners who can work in advanced practice, including minor illness and paediatrics, or aspiring practitioners developing in this area.

You will join a small, dedicated MIU team with a commitment to excellent patient care, flexibility, and professional development in a rewarding, evolving service.

Qualifikationen

• Professional qualification relevant to the post.
• Current professional registration – NMC, HCPC.
• Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations Certificate.
• Post graduate specialist training to degree level in relevant subject area incorporating minor illness.
• Substantial post registration practice in MIU/ED or similar with education and mentorship.
• Experience in managing a team/service.

Aufgaben

• Deliver effective assessment and treatment without supervision using evidence-based approaches.
• Care for patient needs, manage treatment and evaluate clinical interventions for MIU admissions.
• Be responsible and accountable for delivery of patient care in the unit.
