Job summary

Mitie is offering an apprentice role to join the Twickenham team, working alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and fire alarms.

You’ll train through block release at our centres, earning a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship and building real skills for a future in fire and security.

Qualifications

• 18+ due to company insurance requirements.
• Full UK driving licence or actively working towards one and live locally.
• Electrical background desirable.
• Comfortable working at height due to the role.
• Interest in learning more about the wider fire and security industry.
• Excellent customer service and teamworking skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and fault-find on access control, video surveillance, intruder alarms and fire alarms.
• Assist experienced engineers on site with installations and fault-finding.
• Travel to client sites as part of the apprenticeship programme.
• Document work and gather evidence for the qualification assessment.

They are now looking to recruit at least THREE brand new fire and security engineers to join their Twickenham team.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control
• Video Surveillance
• Intruder Alarms
• Fire Alarms

Entry Requirements

• 18+ due to company insurance requirements
• Have a full UK driving license, or be actively working towards getting one and live locally
• Electrical background desirable
• Comfortable working at height, due to the nature of the role
• Interest in learning more about the wider fire and security industry
• Excellent customer service and teamworking skills

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

You’ll train through block release at our Dagenham or Watford centre (depending on which is closer to you), for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.

• Complete a wide range of tasks and projects
• Build evidence from your job to support your learning
• Sit annual assessments at the centre
