Job summary

Aalyria is seeking a Mission Engineer to bridge complex communications physics and our software orchestration layer. This hybrid role combines Wireless Systems Engineering with the execution of a Software Integration Engineer.

You will ensure Spacetime’s system models are integrated, high‑performant, and operationally resilient in live customer environments. You will work with Product and Software Engineering to translate integration patterns into reusable features, design adapter layers

Qualifications

• Hybrid technical profile combining software engineering with physical‑layer communications.
• Hands‑on software development experience and ability to pass an entry‑level SWE coding assessment.
• Experience with wireless communication systems, including RF path loss, propagation, topology, and link budgets.
• Experience developing or working with system/network simulation and modeling tools.
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 3+ years professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high‑fidelity system models within Spacetime to orchestrate dynamic wireless networks.
• Design and implement production‑ready adapter layers (Python/Go) to connect Spacetime with customer hardware.
• Create data schemas (Protobuf, JSON, gRPC) to map complex external network topologies.
• Perform link budget analyses, wave propagation modeling, and coverage simulations.
• Act as tier‑3 escalation lead for live networks and diagnose complex integration issues.
• Collaborate with Product and Software Engineering to translate integration patterns into reusable product features.
