Job summary

Deerfoot IT Resources Limited is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Hounslow to join a hybrid, on-site team building mission-critical airline operations software. The role focuses on Java microservices with Angular/TypeScript front end, in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities include building APIs, integrating products over REST, Kafka and MQ, and owning CI/CD for services deployed to Azure and Kubernetes. 12-month contract with on-site time in Hounslow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development within Agile product teams.
• Strong Java experience building microservices and design skills.
• Front-end experience with TypeScript and Angular; REST/messaging knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable Java microservices and Angular features.
• Build APIs and messaging between products using REST, Kafka and MQ.
• Own CI/CD for the team's services and deploy to Kubernetes on Azure.
• Participate in peer reviews and architecture discussions.
• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools and ensure security and performance.
