Job summary

GH Engage is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multi-skilled team at a mission-critical facility in Chingford, Essex. You will oversee maintenance, safety, and resilience of electrical and mechanical systems, including critical power, UPS, and standby generation.

You will drive incident response, risk management and continuous improvement within a senior, stakeholder-facing role. The position is site-based, Monday–Friday with a structured 35-hour week and attractive pension arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading maintenance, facilities or engineering teams.
• Experience in technically complex, high-availability environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
• Experience with Safe Systems of Work.
• Leadership and people-management capability.
• Experience managing planned maintenance, contractors, and engineering performance.
• Comfortable operating in a stakeholder-facing leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-skilled engineering and maintenance team.
• Ensure safe, compliant and resilient operation of building services.
• Oversee electrical and mechanical infrastructure and critical power systems.
• Own planned maintenance delivery, ensuring timely and safe execution.
• Lead incident response and coordinate recovery to minimise impact.
• Provide leadership on Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments and permits.
