Job summary

Circet Ireland and UK DCS is seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to lead the strategic and tactical operation of On-Premises Data Centres and off-site Colo facilities, including capacity planning, power availability, environmental monitoring, and maintenance coordination.

The role requires delivering reliable, high-availability infrastructure, coordinating with IT and facilities teams, and ensuring adherence to installation standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering background with relevant project experience.
• Experience in design, construction and operation of high availability data centre facilities.
• Knowledge of UPS, PDUs, switchgear, CRAC units and cooling systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data centre activities and maintain workmanship standards.
• Plan, allocate and oversee installation and maintenance within the data centre.
• Monitor power and cooling capacity and manage resilience and failover scenarios.
• Review equipment placement, power and cooling requirements.
• Oversee electrical and mechanical system maintenance and vendor controls.
• Maintain accurate rack elevation records including power, cooling, weight and cabling.
• Utilise in-house software to plan IT installations and manage anomalies.
• Identify, respond to equipment failures and operational anomalies.
• Ensure client satisfaction and adhere to data centre guidelines and installation standards.
• Coordinate with IT, enhancements and business teams to meet capacity goals.
• Develop strategies for integration of critical systems into infrastructure.
