Job summary

Expleo Group is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to drive safety across missile system development in a defence-focused setting. You will perform hazard analyses, define safety requirements, create safety cases, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will apply DOORS-based safety logs and advanced analyses (FHA, FTA, FMEA) to deliver robust, verifiable safety outcomes for complex weapon systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (systems, aerospace, electrical or related field).
• Experience with safety analysis methods and industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD-882, DEF STAN 00-056, DO-178C).
• Knowledge of requirements management and systems integration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure safety and reliability of missile systems.
• Conduct hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safety assessments.
• Define and implement safety requirements, standards, and guidelines.
• Work with design teams to integrate safety considerations into architecture and concepts.
• Perform safety analyses (FHAs, FTA, FMEA, Hazard Logs) and safety case development.
• Support safety documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in safety reviews and communicate assessments to stakeholders.
• Monitor safety issues and lead investigations when required.
• Stay up to date with industry safety standards and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safety engineering processes.
