Job summary

Westonbirt School is seeking drivers for their morning and afternoon school runs, with occasional weekend shifts when required. Candidates should be confident interacting with children and able to maintain a positive atmosphere.

A warm, flexible approach, initiative, and the ability to work well alone or as part of a team are essential. A standard driving license is required; a D/D1 license is ideal, though training or higher qualifications may be provided if not held.

Responsibilities

• Drive school runs morning (6:30am–9:00am) and evening (5:00pm–7:00pm).

Job description

Westonbirt School are seeking drivers for their morning and afternoon School runs with weekend availability when required. Candidates will need to be confident in interacting with children and be able to maintain a good atmosphere. Drivers will need to have a warm and flexible approach, be able to show initiative and work well on their own and as part of a team. A standard driving/car license will be required. The ideal candidate will have a D/D1 license, if not, there is possibility to complete training/gain further qualifications.

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

We have a part time, term time only, vacancy available. Annualised hours of work will be 1187.5 hours p.a. Including both the morning (6:30am to 9:00am) and evening (5pm to 7pm) runs. 10 hours of adhoc driving work per week (340 hours per annum) such as airport runs, sports fixtures, annual maintenance for the buses and school trips plus 20 hours per week for the 4 weeks of Summer School.

Salary: £14.39 for fully qualified D/D1 drivers. Potential overtime hours available, at the same hourly rate.
